TITANIUM

Titanium

The strength of Titanium relative to its weight is better than that of steel, and is comparable to high-quality stainless steels. Titanium remains resistant to corrosion by acids under conditions that stainless steel, heavily alloyed with molybdenum, can no longer tolerate.

The most common grades of titanium that we deliver

  • ASTM
  • Gr 1 Soft and ductile grade for deep drawing.
  • Gr 2 & Gr 3 Grades that are suitable for most chemical and mechanical engineering applications.
  • Gr 4 A hard grade for manufacture of springs, circuit breakers and contact parts.
  • Gr 5 An alloy with great strength and fatigue resistance.
  • Gr 7 Improved corrosion resistance, particularly in reduced acidic conditions.
  • Gr 12 High strength, with good resistance to heat, wear and corrosion.
